Bio:The Oklahoma City native comes from a family of “Sooner” State racers, and grew up around the dirt tracks and in the garage preparing for them as a youngster.

Wayne started with a lot of success at his hometown State Fair Speedway ½ mile and the Tulsa Speedway driving the 100” open wheel cars. A number of victories followed as he competed with brothers Mike and Bud for a trip to victory lane on many nights. Wayne started to enter the 410 wars in 1991, and his travel (both 410 and 360) increased as the ‘90s wore on.

In 2000, Wayne captured the ASCS National championship as well as the first of two (2008) Knoxville 360 Nationals crowns. Wayne ranks sixth on the all-time ASCS wins list. Wayne has 18 total feature wins at Knoxville, including the 360 Nationals tallies and a 2008 Knoxville Nationals preliminary victory. Other big wins include the 1997 Short Track Nationals, wins in the Florida Winternationals including twice at the Ronald Laney Memorial, the 2008 Canadian Nationals and a pair of World of Outlaws Gumout Series wins. He swept the 2014 “Fall Brawl” at I-80 Speedway as well, cashing in a $50,000 bonus.

Wayne qualified for six straight Knoxville Nationals finales (2003-2008). That feat was matched only by fellow drivers Donny Schatz, Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Terry McCarl and Shane Stewart during those seasons.
